Courtside Vest Basketball Jersey Knitting Pattern

Courtside Vest Basketball Jersey Knitting Pattern
This knit pattern is for the Courtside Vest that can be made as a mesh vest or customized with your own unique chart. Note that charts are NOT included, but the pattern includes suggestions to make your own.
The Jersey is worked from the top down with a v-neck. The jersey is worked using a mix of mesh and stockinette stitch, intarsia colorwork, duplicate stitch, and hand embroidery. To help distinguish areas for colorwork and increases, 6 different color markers will be used. First, the back is worked, then the front shoulders and front body, a rib side panel is picked up and knit from the front body, and finally the sides are seamed. The Jersey has slanting shoulders to create a nice fit and are shaped using short rows. Rib neckline armholes, and side panels are worked as solids or multi-color stripes. All edges are finished with an Italian bind-off to create a smooth finish.
